Hello all BYC members! I need to re home my lovely roo. =( I live in central Massachusetts. I would like to send him to a home that will not kill and eat him. Thankyou for any and all answers!

Are you asking for advice on how to re-home or someone to take him off your hands? If the latter, you could put an add up in the Buy-Sell-Trade section.

I have friends that have Craigslisted Roos before. You have better luck if they are purebred and non-aggressive and especially if you put a picture up with the ad.

Another friend took hers to the Humane Society so they could re-home cuz she had no luck with CL. You could also google search and see if there are any animal rescues or sanctuaries in your area that accept roosters. Last, you can try word of mouth. Sometimes folks have friends or relatives that are looking for a rooster for flock protection--you never know.
