Rehoming roos?

[I have WHAT in my yard?]

I keep seeing people here talk about rehoming their roos. Where do you find the new homes? I have several roo chicks that I don't think I can keep as they get older.

And, my neighbor stopped by with a few comments about the older roo I have and his crowing...... He has started to crow round the clock!

I'd rather make a trade than just give them away, but who would want to trade a hen for a roo??

I take mine to the local poultry auction and sell them.

Do you have any swaps near you? Sometimes a local farm will just take them off of your hands, but you can't guarantee what they will do with them.

I live in a fairly urban area, no swaps I could find.....

It takes a ton of work but I search till I find good forever homes. And I mean a ton of work - hundreds of contacts (e-mails, flyers, etc.), and then I screen most carefully, including site visits. Just don't want any being mistreated as a result of any decision I make. I sleep better at night as a result of this philosophy but it is not easy!!
