I finally introduced my bald quail girl Pip back into the main hutch, and now all six of the quails have a huge area to enjoy without the divider. I did notice that my male immediately started to “prefer” her, but oddly enough she will bury her head in the shavings when he’s nearby and then pop back up when he leaves? I’m very confused why she’s doing this. She also is getting along well with St. Teresa. Had to establish a bit of a pecking order with Scarface and Cashew but oddly enough my little baldy is the queen it seems! They now will drink and eat by each other and roost by each other, but still chase each other around a little. Should I be worried about the head burying? Seems odd.
