I separated a hen due to an injured comb from running into the fence after being spooked. She has been living in a cage in my garage for over a week now. Her comb is healing up and last night I free ranged her with everyone. She ended up ruthlessly attacking a couple of different hens a couple of times so I separated her again. No one paid much attention to her and no one bullied her. She was the bully. How do I integrate her?

I have 34 hens (pullets actually, about 22 weeks old) and 2 cockerals the same age. I have a large coop and fully covered run with branches, logs, 2 feeders, 2 waterers, dust bath, roosts etc, and free range a couple hours in the evenings.

Integration should always be done in the see-no-touch method where she is separated in a way that she can see the flock and interact but not actually get into fights with them. A big wire dog kennel works well if you can fit one in your run/coop. Leave her in there for a week or until they all seem comfortable with each other.
