reintroducing an injured hen to her flock

Okay...Norman the rooster went to a wonderful farm for breeding. Spent last night reintroducing Viola (the injured hen) to her flock; by all accounts, you wouldn't know she has spent the last weeks seeing, but isolated from, the rest. All went really well for quite some time and she entered her run and then went into the coop to roost. They went through their normal pecking position routine and Viola was, on occasion, the aggressor. Then it got to be a battle for positioning and Viola's scalp was reopened. I'm not sure if she was attacked, or she simply knocked her head in all of the commotion. I'm not sure the skin the Vet restitched on her skull will ever be thick enough to take any potential hazards. Believe me, I know how this sounds, but is there a chicken helmet? Doing a search on-line only brings up a very popular motorcycle helmet. Thanks for the insight.
