Hi,
I have a 1 week old chick that I separated from the mother and other chicks the day it was born because it was very weak. I have nursed it back to health and am thinking that it should go back with it's mother soon. It seems like it will be able to keep up with the other chicks (they are the same age but slightly bigger since they were all healthy at birth) but I am wondering how to go about bringing them all back together so that the mother does not reject the chick and the other chicks do not beat it up too much. I have the mother and chicks in a very large dog crate out in the coop - separated from my other chickens.
Any suggestions on how to go about reintroducing the chick back?
Thanks,
Carol
