Hi everyone! I'm in East Central Florida. My flock is used to be a mixed of purebreds so I could get different egg colors. Lately, we have a bit of a barnyard mix and still have a few colors. We have 8 hens and no roosters.

We had an old child's fort turned into a coop about 8 years ago. Well, it was time to demolish it and build again. Mostly, I wanted to share that with you on whichever place is appropriate.

You guys were so instrumental when I was a new chicken mom. Last year, we had coccidiosis run through the flock. I lost 2 before it was completely under control. Other than that, we've been very healthy backyard chicken family.
Welcome. I am so sorry for your loss of your 2-chickens.

Thank you. We thought the first one was had maybe died from old age. She was a "dump" that I had taken in a few months earlier. I didn't know her history. But then, when I saw my favorite, Lavender Orpington, was showing signs, we immediately began treating her & the flock. I had fed and watered her for days but we could not save her.

I love your signature line. So great you rescue chickens.
