Relatives making jokes about owning chickens

Does anyone else have family that makes fun of them for having chickens? I got my first coop for Christmas, it’s small but it fits a few bantams in my backyard. I also garden a ton, it’s my happy place. Since I told them I wanted chickens certain family members have made jokes about it every time I speak with them. Sorry I’d rather have chickens and my bunny than your fancy Louis Vuitton Becky

I know what you mean. Except the family members making fun of me also keep chickens. They make fun of me for the way I keep my chickens. I’ve learned it’s pointless to try and talk to these people and I just do what I think is best for my flock and me. My chickens make me happy. That’s all that matters.

Pretty much all my family and people I'm around either have chickens themselves or know people that do. It's very normal.

Me too lmao, people suck. One of my friends knows I have chickens, but he automatically assumed I live in a farm (we have 1.8 acres in a wealthy neighborhood, not a farm). He thinks I’m lying about the car I have becuase ”if you keep chickens you can’t drive a Tesla”. dont give them a reaction
