I started this thread in memory of my scissor beaked chicken Joy, who went missing 2.5 weeks ago. She was very special to me, and I will miss her.

If you have any chickens/other fowl that have passed on please share your stories, and pictures if you have any.

Aw I'm sorry I lost a beautiful hen while I was away in the US, so I don't know why she died. Here she is with her record-breaking egg:

She looks like she was a very pretty hen. What breed was she? Joy was a mixed bantam...

Sorry to hear about Joy. It's always hard to hear about those special one that go missing.

Yeah. I know that many people would have culled a scissors beaked chicken at birth, but I would never be able to kill a chicken...

She was a Red Star which is a really common hybrid here is Australia, but still she was adorable!
