I’m so sorry. That is the only thing I hate about pets, they die way too often.

I am so sorry for Poppy and you...!!

I have lost a Runner girl not long ago, and she was only 1-year-old...
I felt so guilty to not have been able to save her, even though I know the hens that lay a lot of eggs tend to die so very young...!!

I hope you know you are NOT at fault for your girl's death.
I have no doubt - and she herself undoubtedly knew - she had a great life with you.

Don't feel guilty : you would instead deserve to be congratulated for treating Poppy so amazingly...!

Stay strong.
Poppy will never be entirely gone.

(God... ducks and chickens just die too young - that's too hard on/for us...)

Oh I'm so sorry you lost Poppy. She was such a beautiful and cute little duckie. She had a good life I'm sure, even though it wasn't the longest.
