Remembering the Chickens You've Lost

Lost my Scully last week to a tumour, the vet said treatment was unlikely to be successful. She was a Appenzeller x and was 9 years old. Her favourite treat was blackberries and she also crowed like a roo!!

I had one loss I already posted here, T.C., an EE. Earlier this year I lost Kanaliha Cleo when she was 9 weeks old. Then the most beautiful EE pullet I've ever seen, was suffering really bad, so we did away with her. She was an EE named Barbra Ann. Then my RIR hen, D.C., died of a heat stroke while laying an egg. Then the most recent death was my 5 month old roo, Sir Rorzan William Tyson the First, died from a fox when he was protecting his girls.

D.C.

William when he was 8 and a half weeks old.

This thread makes me cry. I can't yet bring myself to upload their pictures but I recently had a terriable virus go through my flock. Rest in peace my beloved lacy, betty, and my beautiful wilma. You will for ever be in my heart. I love you girls!!!! I have to stop typing because I can't see through my tears. .....
