My apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I just got around to opening a letter from the USDA regarding proposed changes to the NPIP. Proposed changes are due to the NPIP office by 27 April, 2012.
Present provisions can be found at:

Also in the envelope was a memorandum that I could fill out to request a copy of the proposed changes to be considered by the governing agencies.
I was impressed that they sent this to me, and I thought it would be useful to push this out to other folks. So, if it's okay to ask for this, could this be cross-posted?
(I know this doesn't apply to all chicken keepers, or at all to people outside the USA, but I thought a lot of people would be interested.)
