I would want it inside the coop for me personally. That is due to my climate in Canada and if i ever had chicks early in the year or late fall i would want to keep them warm and draft free. I also keep all feed and other things inside the coop.
We have very mild winters down here and not much of a predator problem besides snakesA lot depends on the size of the coop. Inside the coop would afford an extra layer of predator protection. I could see advantages either way.
The brooding box will just be for broody chickens
But I am planning on getting an incubator and setting up a chick brooding box mainly for the peacocks
I have a very bad back and the way the coop is now I cant clean it by myself
So main goal is to make it so I can clean it without the wife's help
