Remote open chicken door

This is my version of a remote from the outside of the run of opening the chicken coop door. Totally homemade and easy to copy and no welding or special tools needed.

Wonders if the off center pull will make door jam?
Do you have to lower it slowly so the hook doesn't end up on top of the lock pin?

The deck screw stop keeps it close to center and the lock end not hitting the deck. The first messes the pull and the second messes with the closing.

How did you get the hook onto the square tubing without welding it?

Hmm, you cut the tubing leaving a bit then bent that up... got it. Sorry been a long day and I'm tired... very clever take on the wood one that you see on putube.

Yes, cut three sides off the tubing and bent it up
