I somehow ended up with multiple dog crates.. the dog crate halves make great sturdy and easy to clean nest boxes. The ones I use are a good size for my muscovy... so they get them.
With a broody chicken. .. if she picked a good spot (or I never noticed
) she stays there. If I do not like the location she chose I just make a nest where I want her to be, then pick her up and move her to where I want her. Usually if they are truly broody... even if you move them about... as long as you give them a nice nest with eggs in it, she will sit tight. If moving her stops her broodiness, then she probably isn't a good enough broody anyway, and so good riddance. (And with my flock I can usually find another girl to take her place)
As to other movable nest boxes... in the past I used free cardboard boxes... nice in that you can compost them when they get soiled, and free can't be beat.
