Removed the Roos. how long before the eggs are unhatchable?

I have approx. 50 chickens, 4 of which are Roos. I got my first eggs last week and immediately removed the Roos. I don't want eggs that have been fertilized. Is there a waiting period before I can use or give away the eggs without worrying about them being fertilized?

Hens and pullets can retain rooster sperm for close to three weeks.

May I ask why you don't want to eat fertilized eggs? There is NO difference in taste or nutritional value between non-fertile and fertile eggs. Eggs must be INCUBATED for any chick development to begin.

I'm pretty sure you can still eat the eggs even if they're fertilized!

I have no problem eating the fertilized eggs, but some of the people I plan to supply with eggs said they would rather not have them. My mom and sister being among them, so I figured it best to seperate the roos than have to deal with their insecurities and tastes.

I'm keeping two ancona roos which I may use for selective breeding.
