We have 3 duck eggs that are due Wed. The incubator in an R-Com mini. It only holds 3 eggs. I don't think a duckling can stand up in it so I was wondering if I could take them out before they dry? I would put them in a plastic storage bin with a heat lamp and temp of about 95 - 100. Would they be ok.

You might want to help it dry off with a hair dryer (make sure you move it about, they can get burnt quickly). 95-100 is too hot for ducklings. I'd say 85 is good (at least that's what I kept mine at).

Thank you for your responses. Is a 75watt heat lamp ok? What is the best? Have you ever removed a duckling after hatching?
