Removing food at night?

With my free range birds, feeders are well away from roost. Logic is critters attracted to food less likely to encounter sleeping birds (predators) or as much food to fuel destruction of roost (mice and rats). Helps keep sleeping quarters mpre hygenic as well. My birds have no need for food or water at night.

Quality feed applied to feeding station / feeders at rate to ensure all consumed before birds go to roost. Scratch with BOSS included dispersed in yard to enable some feeding prior to re-arming feeding station. Scratch and BOSS over night not regarded as critter (racoon / oppossom) attractant.
