I have several chicks in a brooder that I purchased from TSC. So therein lies the problem. I have no clue as to their ages.

Some I figure are about 2 weeks old, some are older and almost fully feathered. Can y’all help me figure out these chicks age?

Reason is, I’m debating on taking them to the chicken tractor. They have been trying to fly out of the brooder, perching on the water, and are just much more advanced thank the rest of the chicks. I live in central Texas and temps are high 70s to low 80s and lows of high 50s.

Also I was told they were Partridge Rock chicks? Does that look right to y’all?

I also included a pic of my RIR so y’all can see the difference in size. I’m thinking those are almost 2 weeks

Pardon the messy garage!

Any advise would be appreciated!!!!

It looks right for partridge rock to me.
I think they will still need some heat source outside in your tractor. Also a light helps them return to the inclosure after dark.
The smaller ones will definately need heat for some time yet.
Knowing your location will help us know your weather situation so you may want to update your profile to reflect that.
Good luck with your chicks. Are these your first?
And by the way, Welcome to the backyard!
