I would use landscape timber instead of 4x4's for legs to raise your coop...much cheaper and just as strong. My 8x8 coop is on landscape timbers with a flat concrete pad under each leg. One back corner is much higher off the ground than one of the front corners so I have a 2x4 nailed to the 2 tallest legs for more stability. I agree about putting hardware cloth around the inside of the wire...I would think 36" high would be enough to keep the coon from reaching in and getting a hold on any chicken. Unless he has loooong arms. Anyway, other than making your run much bigger (so you can have more chickens) I think you have a real cute set up.
