Something like that works fine till the rats and mice show up. They will chew through it in a few minutes or just go in the ports. And as people have said, outrageously expensive for what it is until you see the free shipping.... that constitutes $20.00 to $25.00 of the price.
So you got a solution for one problem, feed waste, till the rodents or wild birds show up. For $60.00. Going to cost another $25 to $40.00 to get a real feeder depending on what part of the country you are in as shipping is sky high these days. But you have solved the rodent and wild problem that this contraption won't solve, have a metal feeder that cannot be chewed into, the galvanized metal won't become brittle in the sunlight like these buckets do, your roosters with big combs can use the metal feeder, and by stopping the rodents and wild birds from ever having a reason to come around you have stopped an unending horde of disease agents, vermin, pests like lice, fleas, mites, and ticks from coming into your coop.
So it is a solution, but a very poor solution. I heard an old saying, you cannot cheat an honest man. Point being that greed usually is involved when someone gets scammed out of their hard earned dollars, they fall for marketing like that seller uses because they convince themselves that they can save money on a cheaper feeder.
