Repecka, the California White, was out of the fence when I got home from work. I didn't worry about it because she can fly. I expected her to be in on the roost at dusk.
But she wasn't.
So I went searching for her and finally located her -- about 14 feet up on a beam in the clerestory structure outside the coop in the roof overhang.
I suppose she's safe from anything but owls.
Horrible pictures since it was almost dark, but see the white blur up in the roof?
Slightly better picture.
I like having a coupld California Whites for big, white eggs and entertainment, but an entire flock of California Whites would drive me to distraction.
