Replacing Roo with same aged pullet

My illegal hen is now confirmed to be a REALLY illegal rooster. I have found nice home for him but am wondering if remaining 2 Buff Orpington pullets will accept a same aged (3 mo.) Black Australorp being offered by a friend.

If so, any tried & true tips about how & when to place her with others? Do I just paste up the newbie with "No Peck" goop?

There is a very good article on integrating chickens here--it takes time, especially if they are confined in a run. Any chance you could get 2 chickens, so they aren't as lonely during the process?
