reposting, I haven't gotten any responses so I'm trying again..

Well this morning when I checked him and just like I thought they would be closed again but only one made it to closing. So again we did the water thing and BOOOM it's opened. So I will try some ointment to see if that will help but now we seem to have another problem, Yep another problem. This chickens new name is Problem.. Poop is sticking to his butt, it happened this morning, I noticed it last night. What do you do for that problem? I have been wiping his butt with water to remove it. THANK GOD FOR WATER.. I seem to use it for all problems. ha ha ha ha

If you add a little clean sand or chick grit to its diet that will help with digestion and can help with the pasting up on the butt. I also find that if I get old fashioned rolled oats (oatmeal for people) and run it through a blender or smash it with a hammer to make the pieces small, then mix it with their chick feed (about 1/3 crushed oats to 2/3 chick feed) it helps a lot to make their poop more solid and you get less sticking to them. Also, since the little one is having some problems I would recommend using medicated chick feed if you aren't already. Other than that you should just keep gently wiping it clean so the poo doesn't block the chick up. On the bright side, if your little chick pulls through you will probably have a very friendly chicken that is easy to handle.

Good luck.
