Reptile and amphibians! Who has em'?

First time I saw a bearded dragon, it absolutely stole my heart! A year later in the summer of 2020, I finally got my own bearded dragon. This is Ember

I cannot believe how tiny he was!

This last fall I was finding Redbacked Salamanders everywhere around my yard. Under every rock and piece of wood. Once, a salamander ejected its tail at me when I lifted a rock where a group of them were hiding. I watched the tail wiggle around for quite some time, then I thought my chickens might like to eat it! They were leery at first but one ate it. I then immediately freaked out thinking I might have just fed them something poisonous, but found out that Eastern Redbacked Salamanders are prey for many creatures including birds and are not toxic, unlike many other amphibians such as the Eastern Red Newt. :)
