Ok. You will need:
A tank ideally with a rimless top

Plants. Ask your lfs what are the easy ones.

Some substrate(I use kids plays sand) make sure to thoroughly rinse it though.

Some fish. A small amount to start off with. Depending on what size tank you decide to get.

Some plant fertilizer. I use Tropica fertilizer.

You may want root tabs for long rooted plants to help with growth in the sand.

Let me know what else I can help you with.
Do you think a 20 gallon (75 liter) tank would be good to start off with? Also thanks for all of the info! Very, very helpful.

I have a giant day gecko, Hog Island boa, and a 12 year old leopard gecko

You can get bigger if you want but personally I prefer smaller tanks because they're less maintenance, cheaper to set up and nicer looking more often than not.
You can fit them in smaller spaces as well.

I'd really recommend joining this forum.
