Hello Folks,

I have a deli ma, I bought a ReptiPro 5000 just a month ago and hatched 1 clutch of chicken eggs and started a second clutch 5 days into that batch it stropped working in the middle of the night. I read on-line that this unit suffers from to high humidity and that must have been what happened, as there was a lot condensation on the door window. I have tried to contact the seller and the company direct, but some of the sites are shut down. I'm guessing the circuit board is messed up and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacement circuit board for it or some other way of rebuilding it. The light still works the cool down fan and the digital thermometer still works, it just wont heat up and run the forced air fan. I would hate to trash the unit as the cabinet is nice. I would be grateful for any suggestions and ideas. Glad I saved my old still air foam incubator.

Thanks

I have the same incubator and remember a post a few weeks ago about someone with the same problem. She dried it out the circuit board with a hair dryer and got it working again. Good luck!!!

I thought that the ReptiPro 5000 was made for reptiles? Shouldn't they with stand the humidity. Well when your not hatching you could get to the circuit board do a little research and figure out a way to cover it. Sorry to here about that. maybe it will dry out and work again.

I had that same problem with an ExoTerra. We hatched one group successfully, then when we set the second clutch, it died 36 hours into the incubation. However, it was the fan that died as far as we can tell (everything else seems to be working... thermostat might also be dead, but we tested the fan & it's DEFINITELY dead).

There is a guy from Reptipro who sometimes pops in here & maybe he can answer your questions or help you get the parts you need.

Good luck & hope it gets fixed!

Yes if anyone ever has an issue with one of our units please give us a call at 1-800-259-7955 and we will get you taken care of. Also please feel free to post this phone number to anyone you see that may have an issue. It is hard for us to keep up with these forums as much as we would like to.

Thanks,

Hello... I have the Reptipro 5000.
I have tried about 4 hatches out of it.
Starting from scrach in the repritpro. I have the egg turners.
Usually only get about 33 percent hatching.
Use a still air incubator form Little Giant and put in incubator at 3 days prior to hatching with no egg turners.

I plan on calling the number identified above but wandered if other people had the same problem.
But I wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems, prior to calling and being the fool... :)

I get alot of humidity build up on the door and have added water inside.
Possibly don't need the water?
The temperature is 2 degrees difference top to bottom?
I have some hatch okay and then I have some peep out with beeks and can't go anymore.
The eggs were candled when I put in there and all alive.
Had a three day window of hatching.
Does it matter if the first chicks hatch and roll the other eggs around?
Does this disturb the percentage of hatching?
Each hatch I try and do something different.
I don't know if it is something I am doing wrong.

Thanks for your time!

New member and hopefully have not asked too many questions and hopefully doing the posting correctly... I am good at taking criticism.. might cry.. but test me!!! :)
