It isnt the prettiest thing, but we bought this at a local Habitat for Humanity store for $7. It had been in the store since 1984!

It was an old TV cabinet, so we just covered it up with some free hardware cloth. It serves as a great brooder or broody hen house.

Sorry I do not have pictures.

Converted an 8x8 shed into a coop.
Sheeted the inside with plywood that was being scrapped at my work.
Home Depot cull bin is my first stop at the store.
1x4's
2x12's for the step, ripped down for the walls and some other framing
1x12's
1x6's used on one of my walls
OSB for the ceiling
I even found a full sheet of washable wall board there. ( it is behind one of my roosts )
Broken down pallets used for MANY things around here.
Garden bench
Nest boxes
Framing for the windows
much more
I had a outdoor animal hutch and used the hardware cloth from that for the windows. ( was no longer stable as a home for the pet )
The neighbor was tearing out their deck and the railings made a nice tool organizer.

What length are the pallets you use?

We use a wide variety such as 2x4s, 2x6s, 2x8s, 4x4s, 5 x7 s, 7x9s, 7x12s and no telling what other sizes. We pick up so many pallets and just create things to make. I'm sure there are other lengths that I may not have listed. Some of the places that we get them from are glass companies, farm implement stores and car dealerships. We get a lot of shipping crates. The hard part is taking them apart but once you add up the thousands of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that you can save by using pallets, it's worth every drop of sweat.
