repurposing old hog barn

Has anyone done this? Any special considerations for being on concrete constantly? There will not be any outside runs

Going to use a few unused pens for some grow out pens. Lots of cleaning to do. Each pen is about 8' x 25'. Will put netting or woven wire up to the ceiling. If I only go to the bottom of rafters, I think I would have to cover the top. Should have plenty of ventilation in the summer. Depending on the number of birds, might not be to great for winter unless I spent a ton closing it up. Might have breeding pens and some rabbit hutches in one pen.

Concrete is the perfect base for the deep litter system.

Boy, would I have fun with that set up. Many many possibilities!

Local feed mill is turning pallet wood into nesting boxes. I'm going into town soon to pick up a couple and I'll upload a pic of them. They have two compartments per unit and selling them for $15 per unit (7.50 per nesting box).
