Poor thing stinks to high heaven. She couldn't walk very well so I was clipping her nails when I noticed this. It's extremely yellow like an egg yolk. The vent is very swollen. She is listless, hunched over, walks funny. Basically she is tore up from the floor up. Both wings have huge missing parts to the feathers. I'm picking up Monistat just in case it's gleet but I'm just guessing from pics and descriptions off the internet. Just trying to give the old girl a nice retirement home. Any advice is deeply appreciated.

I assume she is not laying? She has been over mated. The bare marks on her wings are likely roo damage. As far as the yellow discharge...well, that doesn't bode well for her. Vent gleet is white and smells yeasty. Purulent yellow discharge, swelling, and listlessness are all signs of an infection. She probably has EYP. You didn't mention age or breed, but it is a pretty common condition (especially in high production hens) and she has the signs of it. She is going to need to see a vet if you want to extend her life. She can be treated with antibiotics for this infection, but that is not going to treat the underlying condition without surgical intervention. Even with the surgery a lot of these birds never leave the OR alive. Birds don't handle anesthesia well. She is terminally ill. I think you should consider euthanization.

I am sorry.

That is what I was afraid of. She was in a wire cage alone, I took her out of pity. From the one long spur she has I'd say she is pretty old. Well I will give the old girl a good send off then. Thanks for your help.
