Rescue hens-update

These girls didn't have their beaks clipped, though I remember my sister finding one on the side of the road one time with a clipped beak. It seemed like their wings and tail feathers were clipped though, or maybe their health was so compromised that they looked so skraggly!
I'm in Santa Rosa, CA.. North of San Francisco in the "real" wine country

i hate battery operations, my chickens have the oppertunity to run free on my property, they are so happy scratching around and eating bugs, why a person would buy a store bought egg is beyond me, i have to get my hen population back up to parr, i supply my coworkers at the hosp with eggs, they go crazy over them:/ good luck with your chickens

Well, today I went out to feed, and found 3 eggs, from 3 chickens in 2 nests!!!!!! WooHooo
This is good also cause we didn't know which RIR died. The one that layed the big ole good eggs, or the wimpy who knows eggs.
Now we know.
We have 2 legghorns and 1 RIR laying gret big eggs!
