The garden center was going to eat him because he was beating up all the other roosters, so I took Curly home. I think he may be a Golden Laced Sebright, but the photos I have found on the web aren't exact matches. I have attached a couple of my pictures.
I could also use a little advice: He can be very aggressive towards people occasionally. When I hold him he is sweet...scratch him between the wattles and he'll fall asleep. When he does challenge, what should my family members and I do to dissuade him. Is there a way to condition him to stop this behavior.

Thank You Very Much. Curly says thank you, too. When you say "With a little TLC he should look better in no time.", is there anything specifically to his breed that I should be doing for him? Right now he is free roaming our 6 acres and I supplement with 'Home Fresh Multi Flock' pellets.

Nope. Just treat him like any other chicken (give treats, etc.) and trust make him feel at home

If you would like, try giving him foods high in protein to help with feather growth, such as sunflowers seeds. He just looks a little ragged and needs to some time to "blossom".

Ya I agree, he is definitely a Golden Laced Sebright. And about the aggresion, he is probably just scared and uncomfortable. In a few months time he should be warming up to you a bit more.

OK. Thanks to all. I had been handling him several times daily to condition him. Since the girls arrived (see my other post from today) he seems to have regressed a bit but he still follows me around and comes when I call him.
