In the Brooder
I am in Central Mexico for awhile and from Texas. I found two chicks and brought them home. They looked to be a few days or a week old on 4/27/19. I do not know what breed, but I think it is a rooster. Also as it was growing it, it had little feathers, but no mites. It is just now growing out feathers in all of the bare areas. I have searched everywhere trying to figure out what breed this is.
There were two, but the dog grabbed one a few weeks ago. The one left was very bonded to it and traumatized when the dog got into their crate as they slept. Now it will not sleep outside and is in my room. It is roaming around during the day alone and will come in throughout the day and lay on the floor. There is already one rooster and 4 hens here. They sleep on top of the cabana in the vining tree growing throughout it. It is too funny the chicken is scared of the half grown kitten that lives with the other chickens. And when the chick is scared, it's screaming and running to my room and for me.
Thanks so much
