I found a little speckled black hen at the office, rescued her but I'm staying with my sister who doesn't want a chicken here.

The little hen seemed so lost and too tame to be outside on her own. She is docile and was very easy to catch and to handle. She has a sore butt, clipped wings, and feathers missing under the wings with dryish skin. I really wish I could help her get better then give her away, but I can't keep her long. Call me if you can care for her!

I am too far away, darn. But, can you put up a "found chicken" sign. Make the caller describe her. Did she simply walk out of their garden, or is this not a realistic scenario based upon your location?

She may have been a farmed chicken. She didn't seem to know what to do with herself outside. I threw her chicken feed and it scared her. She should not go back to wherever she was, they were not taking care of her. She makes little noises and I hate to have her in a little cage outside, but it's the best I have, until I find someone to take her. She comes with a little hen coop.
