I just found a chicken so no idea how old or any or info. I have done a little exam and she had black areas on her comb. She is very timid so I haven't been able to determine much else. I have 4 of my own so i feel like I should keep her away from them. Am I right? She was very hungry yet she hasn't pooped yet. My husband said she was sneezing but I haven't seen that yet. I am going to keep inside my house because I have no other place to put her where she will be safe.

She is a he🐔:eek::rolleyes:

Pictures can always help. If you decide to try and keep the chicken, quarantine him away from your other chickens for at least a month, to watch for any symptoms of possible illness. Be sure to wash hands and use good biosecurity between him and your others. Sneezing occasionally especially when eating, can be normal. But sneezing every few minutes, mucus from the nostrils and beak, watery or bubbly eyes or eyelid swelling can be signs of a respiratory disease.
