A few months ago I rescued some very young chicks (about a week old) from a neighborhood cat. Both chicks were badly hurt. One was bleeding under the wing and the other looked completely lifeless.

I quickly took the chicks home, put them under my heat lamp and treated their wounds. I tried to find the original owners of the chicks but had no luck so I decided to keep and raise the chicks myself.

It has now been a few months since I found the chicks and they've both healed very nicely! One of the chicks is a hen and the other is a rooster.

Here is what they look like now:

^ This is Felix the rooster ^

^ And this is him with Mittens the hen ^

I decided to give them both feline names, it seemed suitable due to their lucky escape!

Does anyone have any idea what breed these two chickens are?

Yes, I guessed they could be Old English bantams too :) I've had a look at the link you posted and my pair look very similar to several different breeds of old English game.

I'm considering re homing the two chickens but I'm worried no one will want them if they don't know what they are..
