Rescued Duckling... newbie

I agree, and she goes in now - i left two - she wags her little tail and turns them, covers them up and continues to run to me as shes sqwacking running from fancy. He's banned from abusing her! She came in last night from being outside most of the day, soak and wet - and a lot peeved - she was shaking water off, preening and when i tried to help her, she cuddled in for a minute then went back to preening and glaring at fancy.

Raenh, I've gotta tell you--you have an amazing duck! She comes to you and "cuddles up?" Then sits with you? As I said, amazing. After raising many ducks, I have NEVER had one who acted anything remotely like this. Most of them treat me as if I am the duck killing monster! After months, at feeding time, they have finally warmed up enough to come to the bowl and even to gently peck at my hand, but that's it. I just can't imagine any of them sitting with me and cuddling. Really.
I have raised a new flock every year since 2011. And this week I will be getting five more assorted day-old hatchlings from Metzer Farms, who have always treated me very well. So now if the US Post Office will cooperate, I will get this shipment by Thursday morning, at the latest. It's so exciting! And for the first three weeks, I feel that ducks are 100% total joy. They are the cutest animals on Earth, too. So wish me luck.....again.

speedy literally goes whenever he comes near and just runs. He's taken to jumping her as soon as she gets out of the nesting coop. So, she'll hide in there to get some reprieve, it's like he knows not to come after her in there.

It was kinda cool, how she seemed to trust us both enough to have her egg between us that night.
He didn't try then either.

Fancy came skulking in for his cuddles, while i was sitting on the bathroom floor with speedy.

Fancy and speedy cuddling in for the night, bedtime - before the rat issue. We're slowly getting back to that, fancy eithet sleeps at my feet or in the cat tree above/next to me - speedy will perch in my leg or next to me on the couch. Unless she's laying.

Both of them, cuddling up to me for protection from the noisy, crazy kids and adults lol.

They're spoiled brats, but they're my spoiled babies.

Ohkay, so I'm figuring that i will need to build a small military compound as a coop/duck run for them at the new place. That way i won't worry and drive myself crazy when I'm away during the day, it's about an hour from where i am now and kinda secluded.

Fancy's harem - they werent even here 5 mins before he was trying to jump them.

I'm calling them the twins atm. They keep running from him, the one he jumps, the other its like hes beating up on her.
