Rescued geese eggs

Hi I have three geese eggs two from the same place and one from the middle of a field no nest around. My husband works in the field farming and he decided to rescue a couple eggs that were about to get smashed. He brought them home. And I don’t know what to do. They are thriving and getting bigger and growing nicely. How do I know when there in position to get ready to hatch?? I have them in incubator Harris farm 360 I set it for 28 days with 4 days left. I’m not sure how to tell when they need that 3 day idle period I see them move when I candle them all the time. And for the 1 egg that is only 5 days along should it be moved to another incubator since the timing is not right for him since hatching period needs to be at least 75 % humidity correct? Any advice in hatching incubating any advice on geese eggs is much needed. This is my first time. Thanks I’m advance.

Maybe they were collected from a field where the farmer allows his domestic geese to free range, and hubby rescued them from certain death by harrow or disc. No Canada geese were exploited by my conjecture.

Unfortunately many birds (including several types of (wild) geese) are federally protected by the Migratory Bird Act.

This makes it illegal to own eggs, chicks, or adults from said protected species. The best thing you can do here is contact your local wildlife rehabilitator or bird sanctuary and hand them over.

That is exactly what happened he asked the farmer before hand the farmer has lots of white geese that get out all the time and re populate

There is so many he can’t save them all except the one that was not in a nest I’m sure it is the same one

There not wild. I am very well aware that wild geese can’t be kept I know that my husband works for the government and would not do anything not allowed I assure that they are just white geese the farmer has so many of them he can’t control where they nest but he is not going to stop his field either for a nest

there not Canadian I assure you that I would not be on here asking about them I wouldn’t have them. They are from a farmer who has lots of geese that he just lets run.

Well since they’re not wild geese you should be good! Sorry I don’t know how to help answer your question.

Which way is the high end of the air safe supposed to be for hatching / or like \ if that makes any sense
