We just took in a rescued hen that a friend found wandering the city. We already have a small flock and were the only ones our friends knew to call. I am pretty sure she is a young Black Maran. She is pretty tiny so I am assuming no more than 4-5 months old. She's beautiful!
I just got her home a couple hours ago and put her into her quaranteened coop and I think something is wrong with her. She is laying down all the time. She can stand as she has gotten up to get water a couple times, or just to stretch, but is generally just laying in the bottom of the coop. Tail feathers are pretty droopy.
I have no idea how long she was lost for... or what is going on.
Any advice would be helpful!
