Rescued this baby 1 week ago!

I can't believe how much she has learned this past week, especially not having a momma hen. She turned 1 week old this past Saturday and here we are thriving. I can't believe the instinct chickens have. It's like she learned to scratch, even alert when there is a bird in the sky, hides when she senses danger, etc. I am just in shock at her development. First experience with a chick and I'm truly loving this !

My daughter has a friend. Her friend's brother was working outdoors and noticed the baby chick by herself. The word got to my daughter if we wanted her and we said of course! So here we are a week and couple days later
