respiratory disease, denagard not working??

Hey there, I have 10 chickens. A few days after getting them a couple started coughing & sneezing. Went to vets & got denagard, for the whole flock. They are on their last day of the 7 day course. The 2 sick ones have only shown the slightest of improvements & now 2 more have started coughing & sneezing :-( I still have a couple more doses of denagard in the bottle, should I give til it's all gone? Or should I take one of the new sick ones to the vet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

Seems viral, separate the two of them from the flock to prevent the rest getting sick.
If they become lethargic and stop eating/drinking, make them eat / drink.

None of them have stopped eating & drinking, thankfully, but I don't see how 2 more got sick whilst already being treated with the antibiotics? :-(

If a vet is an option,definitely take one of your chickens to vet and find out exactly what you are dealing with.

If the disease is viral, antibiotics won't work. Respiratory diseases can be both viral and bacterial. So, Denagard won't cure a viral disease. All you can do is give supportive treatment, like warmth, good food, electrolytes, and probiotics.

Fantastic, thankyou, I shall be buying some of them first thing in the morning fingers crossed I see some improvements

Do they have other more serious signs such as swelling of the face and eyes, purulent drainage (pus) from the eyes? If not, I would think it is a virus, and the denagard will only help prevent secondary bacterial infections, such as pneumonia and sinus infection.

The only other symptom from the poorliest girl was bubbles in one eye. But it only happened one day & as soon as I looked up what that meant I took her to the vets the next day. Oh and the 2 had runny noses, which have cleared up now. One of the girls has no symptoms anymore, so I can't see why the other one is still sick She was definitely drinking the water, maybe not enough??? Also, any idea how long I have to wait after stopping the antibiotics before giving probiotics? Thanks so much for everyone's help, I just want my hens to be better :-( x
