Hello, what type of respiratory disease do you think this 4 month old pullet had in the video?

Has anyone seen a similar symptom? If so, what happened? She had a runny nose 2 days prior, no eye issues, sadly passed away within 30 minutes of difficulty breathing. Thank you, appreciate all the guidance here.

Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry to hear she didn't make it.

It would be hard to know what was causing her symptoms without sending the body for further testing through your state lab.

Do you have any other pullets that have similar symptoms or was it just her?

Poor thing. Sorry for your loss. Can you give your general location? That helps if something like gapeworms or the severe type of Newcastles disease could be a problem. Have you added any new birds recently to your flock? I second the suggestion to get a necropsy by your state vet if you keep the body cold wrapped in 2 plastic bags and refrigerated or inside a cooler in ice. Do not freeze. That usually are open on M-F. If that is not possible, you could try to do a necropsy to look at the organs and inside the trachea/windpipe for red Y-shaped gapeworms. Those may be common in Hawaii or other tropical region.
