Urgent help!! Respiratory Infection or MG?

Hi everyone, some of my flock are sneezing with others having foamy eyes and the worst cases they have one or both eyes shut. I have separated the ones with symptoms and have seen that you can treat them with fish mox aka fish amoxicillin or tylan. Unfortunately these are not accessible to me as I live in the UK so I wondered if there’s anything else I can give them? Currently they have vitamins in their water and I am supporting symptoms with VETRX. I have also seen you can treat their eyes with neosporin and just wondered if anyone had success with this? On top of this I’m unsure if it’s a common respiratory infection or if it’s mycoplasma gallisepticum as most symptoms cross over.

It sounds like possible mycoplasma gallisepticum or MG. Amoxicillin does not treat mycoplasma since the organism does not have a cell wall. Tylosin, tiamulin (Tiagard or Denagard,) oxytetracycline, or doxycycline will treat MG. You will need to see a vet to get one of those in the UK. You may clean the eyes with saline, and apply an antibiotic ointment such as plain Neosporin, cipro, erythromycin, or oxytetracyline eye drops or ointment twice a day into the eye. MG is a contagious disease and your flock should be considered carriers, and should remain with you until all are gone, so the disease is not spread to others. Have you added any new birds to your flock recently? Here is some reading about MG:

Thank you for your response. I actually have lymecyline prescribed which is a form of tetracycline and it says this can be used to treat MG? I’m trying to find the most efficient and cost effective way to treat as I have a large flock. I will order some of the eye drops suggested. All will be staying with me until they pass and the latest ones I added were 3 months ago and they were slowly integrated. I do have ex battery hens though so potentially one or more of those could have been a carrier. Fingers crossed I can help relieve symptoms for them all! Thanks again for your help
