Respiratory infection??

We lost one within 48 hrs. Kept 2 going on tetracycline and vetrx for about a week to ten days . Lost the last one at three weeks. After 2 nights of oxine. Willing to try anything now. Don't want to lose any more.

The tylan seems to have worked good. Only one with any sneezing or congestion left. And she was the worst. And even she is much better. Did lose one more buff. But we knew it was to late for her. She had lost all her wieght. And quit eating before we got the shots to her. Will wait a week and hit the bard again.

Hi! I brought home a batch of chicks on Memorial Day (almost 2 mo ago) I notice within 2-3 days one had a very bad eye (actually gooped up so bad it wouldn't close). I cleaned it out and did some reasearch, tried some antibacterial sulmet in the water for a couple if weeks w no improvement. I ordered the vetrx and dosed him religiously for over a week now. THere is no more "clicking" in his breathing anymore, but the eye is still bubbly and clear snotty (I can pull out a strand of discharge with a q-tip). He seems in good spirits... But I'm going to order the tylan and see if that clears up the eye. It also seems like he has a funny crow. Is that normal for chicks to have different sounding crows or should I be concerned about that? It's almost like a crackly "haaaa-haaaa"

The tylan50 will help thst . It. Cured it in ours and some friends of ours that had that same problem. They even had a cat eat a chick that died from this and it got this too. The tylan cured the cat. This is also contagious and the bird will remain s carrier for a while. But there is another product called oxine. You can find info onit here if you do a search. Cost around 40$ on Amazon. The only place we found. We spray our coops with once a week and even vaporized the sick ones with it. We have now beat it. We know several people who have had this this year and it claimed the lives of many birds. But this is how we beat it. And others we know that followed us. Have now got it under control as well.

Hi this is Mrs. Chknoodles...The crowing...takes a few weeks for the boys to get it down. Our big Buff Orpington's crows for the first week or two made me want to run out and squirt him with WD-40! Our Barred Rooster only did growls and partial crows for about a month, but now has a nice, long clear crow that is higher pitched than the Buff's. Ask us in about 4 months and we will have 4 or 5 Jersey Giant boys making their vocal input! Gonna get a bit noisy around here by Thanksgiving!!! LOL

Hi mrs. Chknoodles- thanks for the tips- I can't wait to get this guys eye cleared up -ive been nursing him for almost a month now! Will post results when the tyvan comes in :)
