we have a 3-1/2 year old hen, hasn't laid an egg in nearly a year but we keep her around for amusement purposes.... anyway she was really under the weather a week ago, thought she might not make it much longer, treated her for worms, didn't eat or drink for days and had some nasty runny looking poop, very lethargic, etc..
seems to have been feeling better the last couple of days, and today cleaning under the roost (she has been isolated) I found what looks like maybe an under-developed egg?? I assume she must have passed this.
anybody know what this is?? sorry the pics are not great, it is about an inch long, with some blood at the elongated end. looks egg shaped and it feels like a spongy mass.....
sorry, just found out I can not post pictures here. anybody have an idea based on the verbal description?
