Retrain a hen?

I do not do business with TSC b/c their feed is almost always old.

So where do you buy and what brand?
I think my problem is I don't buy the cheaper stuff that moves faster.

I was feeding dumore but in the winter months it was 3 or 4 months old this time of year it's only 3 or 4 wks old

Yeah, I feel ya! I have a whole group that have now decided that they should go next door and lay in the tall grass of the neighbors 10 acres.....because NOWHERE on our 10.5 acres is good enough. They are driving me crazy. We are putting up a bigger run for them tonight and they won't get out tomorrow until they have laid their eggs. I don't like to have to beat the bushes literally for eggs.

They all started out laying in the coop or outside in a cozy spot next to the coop but now they are like wild birds. SIGH! Good luck to us both

hey you folks are lucky to even have a choice of feed. We have a Shur-Gain FeedNneeds in here and if I drive 45 min away we have a Co-op and Shur-Gain there. That's it 2 choices. the feed does seem fresh but there is no date on the tag just a lot number. I might have to call these folks to figure out if the numbers are lot @ or a date code. I'll post a picture maybe someone can figure it out.
On second thought I don’t want to hijack the post. I’ll start one of my own.

My feed is fresh. I order it from the local feed store, FRM Show Gold. It gets delivered once a week. I buy 300 to 400 lbs weekly.

I tried this but he wouldn't order the measly 50# a month I needed, even tho he order other formulations of the same brand.

I might have to call these folks to figure out if the numbers are lot @ or a date code. I'll post a picture maybe someone can figure it out.
