t'was the day after finals, and my parents had called to tell me that one of my chickens had been missing for about a week. she had been bullied by the other chicken for a while now and may have decided that enough was enough and moved out. my parents didnt want to add additional stress to my finals week so they decided not to tel me until after. a few days later i receive another call saying she had been spotted near the house. well that relieved my worries that something bad had happened to her. she was raised practically wild when she was very young before i came to owning her so she knows how to handle herself out there in the wilderness beyond my house. a few weeks pass and i have returned home from college for the summer and this morning i hear something from out front of the house. i sound i recognize as my missing chicken. sure enough she is out there acting somewhat frantically. i offer her food and she eats ravenously. she lets me pick her up and put her in a cage in the backyard away from the the other chicken that had bullied her. i notice her upper right eyelid is split, but it looks like it has already healed as much as it is going to. i dont know if that happened to her while she was out on her adventure or if the other bird had given it to her before she left. she is still in the cage now and has calmed down somewhat, but im worried she might be sick. she sneezed several times and was making lots of tiny little poopies very frequently. if she is sick do any of you guys know if there are some over the counter antibiotic or something i can give her or is it better to just let her rest and deal with on her own or what?
p.s. my chicken is a BAMC: bad **s mother clucker

Continue to keep BAMC

hen in her safe enclosure away from the bully hens so that you can observe her eating, drinking and pooping ,etc. Her poops might be small because she has not been eating much, but give her a good check over to see if her crop feels normal and her vent looks normal. As long as she is eating and drinking and moving around normally with good energy level, a few sneezes may not be anything to worry about. If there are any other symptoms that you notice, then post them here and/ or in the disease and emergency section of the forum.
