Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your phone. I'm sure it's in a better place now :hugs
If ya' have any questions ask away! Us homeschoolers gotta stick together right? ;)
I've yet to find any Good local breeders around my place so glad you found a couple around you. Do you have a plan with what you're going to do with any cockerels you hatch out?

My friend, I guess you could call them, raises unwanted cockerels up to a suitable size for meat, apparently. I also know a few people who want unrelated cockerels for their Welsummer, Crested Cream Legbar and Australorps. We also have some unwanted cockerel farms nearby, sometimes they use the cockerels for meat, sometimes they find breeders halfway across the country who may be interested in adding to their stock. I'll split them between I think

Lucky. I'm almost jealous... And where do you live again..? (Jk)
I love hatching eggs but I almost never have anywhere to sell/trade/butcher unwanted cockerels around here except for a near by slaughterhouse I work at (But honestly the charge wayy too much if you ask me!) Good luck with the whole hatching thing!

Thank you! And sorry for that, I think there should be more lenience? in owning cockerels, after all, when we need to replace our laying hens they too come from somewhere; a cockerel and a hen. I would keep all my cockerels if I could! :)

And loving, I adored nothing more than my Aseel coming to give me a hug, he was such a gentleman. Hopefully one day I move somewhere I can have big flock of cockerels. What's your favourite breed of cockerel? If you can chose one! :)

My favorite breed would have to be the Black Jersey Giant. Had two that grew huge! Trump and Jerry is what I would call them. Jerry grew to be the biggest (Bigger than my royal palm turkey hens) The prettiest breed (In my opinion) Would be either Blue laced red wyandottes or Red jungle fowls.
