Review my coop and run. Any advice would be welcomed :)

I'm sure they will and this downpour we are currently having won't help. It's torrential out there and everywhere is just getting sodden apart from the bottom where they won't venture, It's lovely and dry down there 🤦‍♀️
Where is the water running off the run roof going?
Is it puddling up at the end the birds won't venture into?
How old are your birds and how long have they been in there?
(sorry if I missed this)

The water runs off onto a separate roof which then runs into the guttering system. It's not puddling, just damp
The birds are 3 months old and not been with us long, couple of weeks.

That's good!

Would use coarse wood chippings for damp area rather than straw or hay or the like.
Tight narrow space with not much sun or airflow can favor mold growth.

I'd just give them time, they'll move farther down the run as they get braver.

Thanks for your feedback, I have been trying to contact a local arborist to see if u can get some hardwood chips. The only ones near me seem to be bark chips.
Would playgrade chips suffice?
Thanks

They might. The bark might even work OK.
You want big chunks so they don't mat together.
This is what I use from the tree trimmers chipper.
Typical 12oz soda can (not sure if that works for you) for scale.
Can is 2.5"(6.3cm) in diameter.
I'm hoping a local arborist gets back to me as I do like the look of wood chips too. I did initially have bark but I was worrying about it composting and even going mouldy so I raked it back.
For now they have two hay bales they are enjoying destructing. I have decided to add some stepping stones and put stones under the soil for added drainage. It is covered with a roof drainage systems, we've had such awful weather and it just seemed to have retained the extra water.

Actually, I'm going to look into hiring a chipper as we do have wood from some trees we cut down. They are good size chips. Thanks for the image x
