Rex Bunnies (New photos on 32) He is HOME!!!

MomtoSyd&Emma :

WAY to precious!! I just love the look of the rex coat, and the feel is just fabulous to me!!!

That's why I succumbed to getting rabbits. I could pet the MR all day long.

OMG he doesnt even look real!!! He is beyond adorable! I love them, but OMG with 2 daughters I have enough hair to brush knots out of lol Keep posting pix of him, I cant get enough of that face!

Everyone keeps saying he looks fake or asking me what he is. someone asked if he was crossed with a cat! He will be much less fluffy when he is full grown, I saw his parents when I bought him. I have only combed him out a couple of times, mostly because he had aspen shavings all over in his fur. My niece said he is so fluffy he is like a cloud. He is very sweet, still warming up to living here though. I will post more pictures as he grows. I can't wait to see more pictures of yours.

Aww a cute name for him would be Charmin lol

Trust me come tomorrow you will see photos of mine lol

BeccaOH, the bunny in your first pic is also harlequin marked, which makes it a tricolor (broken harlequin). It's probably also what some people call a Charlie, meaning an animal that has inherited the broken gene from both of its parents. Charlies' digestive systems run a little slower than other rabbits, so they are a bit more prone to GI stasis than normal. Charlies can lead perfectly normal, happy lives, but I know a lot of breeders (myself being one) that never breed broken to broken to avoid producing them. They are cute, though, aren't they?

here is some of my bun buns. these r 3 of my new buns i'm still uploading will add more rex ones. love the bunny pics specially that lionhead!!

I am going to pick him up in 10 hours lol Yes I am that sad that I am counting down the hours to pick up time! lol

The breeder lives about an hour from me, but they homeschool and are coming this way to go to the Safari Park so we are going to meet on her way!!!!

well now its down to less than 2 hours and he will be mine mine mine! DH still doesnt know we are adding to the zoo I mean household, but as a wise person on here once said "Its easier to ask forgiveness than permission" lol

I meant to ask you all, what is the "going" price now for pet quality Mini Rex bunnies? We are paying $10.00 and I would LOVE to have him neutered but who knows when finances will allow that!! He has to get in line behind the puppy, we have an appt. for her but its not until July at the "low" cost place ($65.00 for spay)

When I have something for sale, I get $10 - $15 for pets, or $1.25/lb for snake food. I wish I didn't have to use the snake guy option, but we all need an "out" for the ones we can't sell otherwise. We have several rabbits here that are really just pets; my daughter in particular will pick a rabbit to be her favorite, how could I sell those? Fortunately, she has a good "eye;" most of her choices are useful as breeders. I have given retired breeders away, but I want to be sure that they will be getting a better life than they have here before I let them go.
